Speaking at a press conference at Secretariat, the minister said, the museum showcases documents, artifacts, and memories of authoritarian repression, the democratic movement, and the resistance of students and the public. 

The long-awaited museum will serve as a lasting tribute to the sacrifices and struggle of millions who took part in the movement. 

He added that the museum will be open exclusively to the families of the July martyrs on the inauguration day, while it will be opened to the general public from August 6. 

Admission fees have been set at Tk 25 for children and Tk 50 for adults.
