Speaking at the White House, Trump warned that Iran could face severe consequences if no deal is reached. 

He also said the United States has not ruled out major military action. 

Iran has rejected Trump's claim, saying there are no direct talks with Washington. 

Instead, Tehran says it is discussing the situation in the Strait of Hormuz with Oman. 

Meanwhile, senior Iranian military adviser Mohsen Rezaei warned that continued naval pressure could put U.S. ships and troops in the region at risk.
