The adviser came up with the statement while speaking at a briefing at Secretariat on Tuesday. He said, there was broad consensus on the need for constitutional reform. 

However, he noted that BNP had submitted a note of dissent regarding the process of amending the Constitution. 

As a result, he said, the matter could be decided through discussions in Parliament.Dr. Zahed also said, the current government embraces the spirit of the July mass uprising and aims to spread the ideals and strength of the movement among the people.
