Defense experts say the United States has used a significant number of long-range cruise missiles and air defense interceptors during the conflict with Iran.
Analysts warn that, at the current production rate, rebuilding missile stockpiles could take between three and five years.
They say the shortage could affect US preparedness for future conflicts, particularly in the Indo-Pacific region.
The Pentagon says efforts are underway to expand missile production, with the Trump administration using the Defense Production Act to speed up manufacturing.
